When we take a back-up of your website we store it on Amazon Web Services account in the cloud, totally separate from your hosting account or server. This means that if your hosting company or server gets hacked you can rest assured your site is backed up in a different place.

We scan your site and its code for any viruses that may have infected your site, by anyone trying to post comments or upload viruses hidden in attachements. We're able to restore the site to the last back up before the virus was detected and restore your site.

As security threats are released then the Wordpress eco-system sends updates to your site for Wordpress Core, the Theme and any Plug-ins installed on the site. However these upddates can break the look, feel and functionality of the site. So we carefully carry out the updates in an "update window" when your site is quiter than usual. We take a back-up before updating so we can roll-back if needed.

Because Wordpress is so popular, its also very popular with hackers. They are looking for two things, either data they can steal from your website (ie usernames, passwords etc) or they look to take over the site to use for other malicious and illegal activities.
